So what's behind this amazing strength in PALM?

I'm long PALM and intend to stay that way for quite some time. That said, something has been bugging me the past week and it finally clicked when I read your question...

HWP.

Back in the pre-Agilent days I'd follow HP. On several occassions, just before that quarter's earnings speculation would start in earnest, Goldman Sachs would issue a Blue Sky "analysis" and the stock would run into the earnings report.

And then crash on less-than-stellar earnings report.

Long term it won't make much difference, but for the sake of our short-term sanity I hope this isn't happening here, now. I have a deep and abiding respect for Goldman Sach's ability to make money for themselves and for the clients. Since I'm not a big enough fish to be one of their clients, I also have a deep and abiding respect for their ability to totally crush me in the process. :-)

I'm not a conspiracy buff, I'm just throwing it out there as something to think about...
