Earlier today I spoke with one of my brokers (@ CIBC World Markets). Although I do not hold my IRF stock there, he knows I am into the powercosm companies.

He said that he had just come from a meeting with the semi analyst who had downgraded INTC and AMD today. (Sorry do not remember the analyst's name, but according to my broker he is one of the top analysts for semis.)

He said that INTC's problem was that it was just not executing. He said he did not see its new Pentium (4?) making that much of a difference.

He differentiated INTC and AMD from other semi companies that he was very positive about. One was IRF (another was ATML).

He quoted the analyst as saying that IRF could earn well in excess of $3 next year (not sure what current estimates are, but will be checking). Anyway, the analyst loves IRF.
