CNET PALM Concern:

September 13, 2000
Vol. 2, No. 37

My Palm OS handhelds have been gathering dust in a drawer
recently. All the gee-whiz stuff is related to Pocket PCs these days. Even Palm's latest products warrant more of a yawn than any real excitement. Its new, top-of-the-line VIIx wireless handheld, for instance, includes only some more RAM and a few improved applications. I'm still a fan of the credo that a handheld should be absolutely easy to use, but I find Palm's recent lack of innovation somewhat troubling. Or is Palm just working on some secret project that no one has predicted? One can hope anyway.
