CNET PALM Concern: September 13, 2000 Vol. 2, No. 37 My Palm OS handhelds have been gathering dust in a drawer recently. All the gee-whiz stuff is related to Pocket PCs these days. Even Palm's latest products warrant more of a yawn than any real excitement. Its new, top-of-the-line VIIx wireless handheld, for instance, includes only some more RAM and a few improved applications. I'm still a fan of the credo that a handheld should be absolutely easy to use, but I find Palm's recent lack of innovation somewhat troubling. Or is Palm just working on some secret project that no one has predicted? One can hope anyway. Colin Duwe Associate Editor CNET Consumer Electronics
