Carl:
Things are going well for ALi's renewed push into the chipset market, according to this article. As it turns out, ALi's mobile MAGiK1 [DDR] Athlon chipset (M1647 and M1646M) is popular among OEMs for upcoming systems.

Did you notice that NEC, Toshiba and Hitachi all pay royalties on SDRAM/DDR controllers. What makes you think AMD, Micron, ALI, VIA and Severworks ar not going to pay on their chipsets.
My question for you is on what continent are RMBS's lawyers going to serve the Tawainese vendors like Winbond, ALI, SIS and VIA. RMBS lawyers have seen enough of the East Coast of US and Europe in the summertime. I think RMBS has some Japanese patents to lean upon. LOL
