Sep 12, 2000 01:08 AM Outblaze, which develops information and communication infrastructure services for the Web and wireless platforms, has launched the company’s first customer relationship management (CRM) service. The service allows businesses to gather and analyze customer/user data so they can get a better understanding of their customers’ requirements, and tailor services and products aimed at improving customer loyalty. According to Outblaze founder and CEO Yat Siu, the new service should be useful for companies engaging in e-commerce to generate more revenue.
“In today’s highly competitive business environment, only those who are able to understand and provide precisely what their customers need will win customers’ support and loyalty,” said Siu. “Our CRM service endows businesses with the critical capability to gather and analyze the information required to tailor products and customer service, and to complement sales and marketing efforts.”
Unlike conventional CRM software packages available today, the Outblaze service is a ready-made and running service that is activated on request, claimed Siu. The process requires no technical expertise or additional resources. Outblaze handles the service operation, maintenance, development and upgrade, and businesses aren’t required to invest in technical know-how and instead can focus on making use of the information delivered by the service. The Outblaze system gauges customer information and activity, which can then be queried on default or customized topics. Businesses are then able to obtain more precise marketing, demographic and usage intelligence on their customers, said Siu.
“Using the new service in conjunction with Outblaze’s interactive communication services, companies can derive maximum value from their customer database by extracting collective and individual data. The incremental value of this service is its integration with our other existing services,” Siu added. |
