I find it hard to be attracted to LU as an investment choice right now. They warned on earnings once, promised better results. Then they warned again. They are major players in two of the fastest growing industries, fiber optics and telecommunications equipment, but have been unable to match the stellar results of their contemporaries. And they had to admit that they misjudged the market in key areas. Add to this the fact that they are the most owned stock in the US, 3.3 billion shares outstanding, with portfolio managers looking to dump LU shares for cash to buy other stocks.
ASND was a different case, much smaller market cap and institutional ownership. I wish you LUck with LU, and i am sure that it will have some nice bouncies. I just don't see significant long term price improvement until they solve their earnings problem. jmho. larry
