From Today's San Jose Mercury News,

The Gilder effect has struck fear into Cisco's investors.

In a report last week, George Gilder, the celebrated guru of new-age investing, theorized that the router -- Cisco's core product -- will eventually lose most of its value. Gilder argues that high-powered chips -- sometimes called ``systems on a chip'' -- will perform many of the functions that Cisco's routers do today, particularly as optical networking increases in volume. The likely winners from this movement, he suggested, will be companies like Broadcom Corp. (BRCM), which manufacture communications chips.

How many of your $2.00 stocks have a chance of doing this?
