Catalog sales business has been a $61 billion business.

You can imagine with $3.6 billion that SVCDQ used to do, it was a substantial name in catalog business. Today, SVCDQ announced the closing of two SF area stores in California. Each store probably do $10 million per year.

In the same statement SVCDQ encouraged the present customers to order goods from their web site, servicemerchandise.com.

This is not discouraging for SVCDQ. It actually will go to a more classical catalog business. On the stores, a self service shelf stocking arrangement may create more impulse buying. We will be on the watch to see how all this turns out.
