Maxygen Inc. (MAXY) rose as high as 46 in after-hours trading. It closed at 43 in regular trading. The developer of genes for commercial use said it signed a follow-on research agreement with Pfizer Inc. (PFE). The company also said it received a new U.S. patent for its MolecularBreeding technology. from bloomberg.com
