It is only reasonable for Mr Birch to back away from any major decision of this kind until Mr Notebaert gets up the speed. I don't mean the latter is a slow learner. He'd better hit the ground running. However, his task, at least the common perception anyway, is to strengthen the sale side of the company. He will have to get up to speed with Titans and Cablespan etc. So, to manage such a high profile takeover can be distracting. OTOH, it would be troublesome if Mr Birch tries to manage this event, even if the two have a great relationship Just a guess though, or maybe I am hoping it won't happen b/c I am holding TLAB and not HLIT :) best, Bosco
