Stinger, no problem... great points
productivity gains are everywhere and very real most involve PC's, servers, cellphones, other machines
the spreadsheet with Lotus123 or MSExcel (stolen) are enormous productivity tools at Staples we used to manage huge files of accounting info for forecasts or actual sales data we would make minor changes, hit a button, and boom, tens of thousands of calculations would go off to find certain criteria, the Conditional Format function was extremely productive
with a PC having slow cpu processor, these calculations simply would not happen satisfactorally, with the PC often hanging up, resulting in abandoned calculation altogether
with a PC with inadequate memory capacity, calculations simply DID NOT HAPPEN AT ALL
efficiency gains are everywhere I turn I dont understand how many people cannot notice them maybe they dont purchase gas at pump, call customer service on phone, use wireless phone or faxes, pay bills by PC, use internet for info, have their cars repaired, use ATM for cash withdrawals, or go outside at all
