Excerpts from KH’s interview in the Gambling Online Magazine that address this issue. What he says makes sense, at least to me:
“There are no handicapping skills required, it’s equal chance and this bridges the gap between horseracing and the lotteries. HP brings together the lottery, horseracing and the slot machine. It bridges the gap between the player experienced with lotteries and slots etc. and the player experienced with horseracing. It means that people who don’t know how to handicap or don’t care to or don’t want to spend the time or don’t want to wait the 25 minutes between races, can get online and play HP. That is the majority of people. The majority of people are unwilling to learn how to become professional handicappers and that’s why I believe racetracks have (and I own a lot of racehorses and I love racing) for a long time been catering to the minority instead of the majority of players. A lot of people just don’t have the patience to wait 25 minutes between races. A lot of people don’t want to spend the hours required to handicap the racing form. A lot of people like to just buy lottery tickets with numbers and play slot machines where skill obviously has no way to affect the outcome and yet look how most of the revenue in Vegas comes from slot machines. We know the players like random events and we know that players like the idea of something simple to pass the time but what they like even more is a chance to participate in a large jackpot and be able to get the result immediately, which is what you can have when you are online with HP.”

A couple more interesting lines from the interview:
“Take for the track: 25%”
“We have a patent on equal chance virtual horseracing”
“HP is anticipating 4 or 5 different versions of the game over the next 2 years as the internet grows, faster broad band capability and wireless access protocol kick in …”

My wife and I have played the game often and I have also shown the game to at least 25 other people the consensus was most people enjoyed the game, some commented that it could become extremely addictive (thats positive for us shareholders). Some said the graphics could be a little better, but as Kim has said "HP is anticipating 4 or 5 different versions of the game over the next 2 years as the internet grows, faster broad band capability and wireless access protocol kick in".

Also if you can get people to sign up new accounts using you as a reference your account will be credited points, as to what will be credited to an individuals account once live cash wagering is in place, I can not comment at this time but I am sure Mr Hart being the master of marketing that he is will Im sure compensate in some way.

One last comment, you can also look at Horsepower as a marketing tool to spread the word about our company and our projects, around the world 24/7 to potential new shareholders. As there will be a link directly to the sungold website.

This is definetly the beggining of something big and I am glad the company has decided to get on the internet bandwagon and establish a presence and a brand name as the future of the gaming industry is in my opinion in it's infancy and ripe for many lucrative opportunities.
