If they can't get the stock price to move significantly from these levels, there will be a massive exodus of employees. If I were there (and I was once), my expectation would be that management has implemented a major initiative of some sort. I imagine there being empty pizza boxes stacked to the ceiling in Redmond. Pure speculation.

They need to do something very big -- not just Windows 2000 -- something else. I'm at a loss as to what it might be if there is something in the works. The new Palm-type operating system isn't enough. Games aren't enough. They can't do anything major on the applications front. It has to be something on a grand scale, such as communications/networking/payment services. At least I hope they have something big in the works. Windows 2000 revenues will be nice, but everyone knows the whole operating system paradigm will be different in the future.
