CHICAGO, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Bank One Corp. (NYSE:ONE) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon said on Wednesday his firm was mulling changes for its Internet-only bank, WingspanBank.com.
"When something's new, you have to be testing new concepts, new products, new services," he told reporters after addressing the National Association for Business Economics.
"Not one size fits all, so you you're looking at different prices, different services," he said.
Chicago-based Bank One launched the multimillion-dollar venture in June 1999 as a vehicle for attracting Internet-savvy customers.
In his speech to the NABE, Dimon said the Internet was still fairly primitive and had a way to go before it became a fully useful tool.
"The Internet basically stinks," he said. "It's slow, tedious; it doesn't work all the time. It's like walking into the library where all the books are thrown on the floor."
