I don't think it will be faster on an IPC level or add new features. It will just be cheaper to produce (smaller die), consume less power (allow for higher frequencies, suitable for notebooks) and support more L2 cache (servers). This is good but not breathtaking.

What I wish to see (but probably won't) is SSE support. Imagine if a Mustang would destroy P3 (and maybe even P4) on optimized Intel benchmarks due to the SSE support. But apparently we have to wait until Sledgehammer for SSE/SSE2 support.
