Our computers have been hit with a virus called
W32.Funlove.4099. Don't know how long we've had
it, but two machines are down completely, I'm using
the third.

It is a Win32 virus that replicates under Windows 9x and Windows NT systems. It infects applications with EXE, SCR or OCX extentions. What is notable about this virus is that it uses a new strategy to attack the Windows NT file security system, and it runs as a service on Windows NT systems.

It modifies files, degrades performance and causes system instability - causing system to lag and even crash. We're in the lagging part. I think we must have been infected for a while and didn't even know it.

Not a pretty sight. I don't think our data has been corrupted but I'm keeping my fingers, legs and everything else that can be, crossed.

They're picking up our machines tomorrow morning, and bringing them back on Monday some time. Looks like my garden will be getting a lot of attention this weekend.

So, how was your day?
