Ian,

This has been a valuable debate because there are real differences of opinion and they have been expressed intelligently and courteously. Attempts have been made to support arguments with facts. I would like stronger attempts, but I think the discussion is heading toward this.

I am writing because I would like a kinder, gentler Ian. I think you came down unfairly hard on Sun and the result is we have lost a potentially useful dialogue.

I have seen you become a stronger, more articulate, more confident, and more valuable poster over the years, but you seem to also be more impatient with "weak" (real or imaginary) posts.
