Dr. Bob - I've got what may appear to be a seemingly ridiculous question, but one that has been rattling around for some time, so it's time to put it to bed once and for all. Can a stock pre-fill a gap? In other words, say a stock has been trading around 50 for five days and in the last 15 minutes of day five it sells down to 45. Now say the next morning it opens at 50. Does that 5 point gap still need to be filled?

My thanks in advance. GT
