Yea, it was wierd -- cool wierd. I love the smell of the first fires in fall. Tonight it was that smell -- you know, where the saw binds for a moment and burns along the grain. Crosscut is a summer smell. Ripping is a fall smell. -g

I grew up in Newfoundland -- how did you know and how do you of of this far off place? I now live one province to the west, kissed by the edge of the gulf stream -- beats the hell out of the Labrador current.
