-g They are sooo different. Newfoundland is one of the few places in America/Canada where you can wake up and know immediately that you are in a different culture. Ditto Quebec. Most of the rest, except for the North, is cookie cutter.

Of course, to an Amaaarican, I suppose there is America and other places.

We have a comedy show on a national network that does a very funny regular piece called "Interviewing Americans". Too hilarious. They even pulled it on George Bush this year and he did not know he was being made the fool. They asked him what he thought of Canadian Prime Minster Poutine's remarks about Bush being a solid choice for the new leader of the free world. He answered seriously and all puffed-up.

Our Prime Minister is not named Poutine -- that's a Quebecois fast-food dish.
