I don't know you but I will bet you pay a much smaller amount of taxes than the mean. I also pay every dollar of tax that my CPA says is due. But, I am still probably "small cheese" compared to the bigger payers. And, I don't like a system that rewards ingenuity in using the tax laws to avoid paying a fair share of taxes. What I mean by that is if you make 60000. per year and I make 60000. per year and we have the same number of dependents we should pay the same amount. That isn't the way it works. Why is the tax code over 10000 pages? Because the democrats have written in exemptions, exclusions, etc. for their funders. My belief is the democrats have some of the "really big money" guys in their camp because they "carve out" exemptions, credits, etc. to assist these "fat cats" in avoiding taxes. In return, they support the democrats and help them avoid taxes. The other constituency of the democrats are the people who work for the government or want something from the government or the ones who are simply duped by the "carnival barker" rhetoric presented by people like Clinton and Gore. The hard working middle class pays too much of their income to fund these rascals. They are the true backbone of America and they carry a lot of freeloaders on their backs.
