Rarebird: It is true that Gore was gaining momentum. However the only poll I really watch is the Battleground poll. It is done by a Republican and a Democrat. They do only likely voters as opposed to registered voters and they are incredibly accurate. I suspect this is due to two factors. Since one is a Dem and one is Rep they keep each other honest on the bias and their database and techniques are recognized as the best in the business. If you go to their website at: tarrance.com and look at the history you will see that Bush faded after the dem primary, but never was behind. He has been pulling slightly ahead the last few days. But it is very, very close. I think this poll is the one that will turn out to be right. Live long and prosper, Little joe
