Yesterday, Amplify.net, a Silicon Valley startup specializing in broadband service quality and management solutions, announced it signed a multi-year original equipment manufacturer agreement with WaveRider Communications Inc. The agreement requires Amplify.net to supply its iSurfRanger Bandwidth & Service Management products for WaveRider’s Last Mile Solution systems to enable advanced network management capabilities, greater access to bandwidth and more robust point-to-multi-point connections. Under the terms of the agreement, WAVC will include Amplify.net’s iSurfRanger in its product marketing activities to its network of customers. We believe that the addition of Amplify.net’s software will further enhance the appeal of WaveRider’s LMS product line to wireless internet service providers and will ultimately help the company to secure future contracts. We therefore maintain our Speculative Buy recommendation on the stock with a US$10.40 price target.
