The interesting thing about this is that EXLN had wonderful products with very favorable reviews 5 years ago. So why is another favorable product review really significant?

I don't want to be overly simplistic, but it seems to me that there has been a wide and deep divide between the EXISTING and the NEW WORLD that is now rapidly closing. The existing is all the legacy systems including the relational databases. The new world is HTML/XML and need for an object database. You can't bridge the divide overnight, much less ask any major corporation to radically change existing business processes. So the integration server is a natural and low risk way to bridge the old to the new.

OBJECTSTORE was, is, and will always be a class product who's time is yet to arrive, but it will. Any MIS director worth his salt is going to look beyond the integration part before making a strategic move on what to do, and I believe the Gartner Group and others are now helping to accelerate the acceptance of Excelon's products. Remember the worn out phrase "Best of Breed"? Will not be surprised to hear EXLN tagged that way. Does that speak to how slow the marketplace changes?

So why is another favorable product review really significant?I would have to say the only difference is TIME, but now instead of having a product looking for a solution, we have a very ready marketplace looking for the solution. Just my humble thoughts and opinion.
