According to JC's Pages, the 760MP will sample in December, and mobos
will be on the market in the first quarter of next year.
Link works in the original, of course. I'm confused here, though. I was under the impression that the vanilla 760 supported dual processors, while the 760 mp additionally supported the LDT n-way multiprocessor linking. Maybe the 760 is really just uniprocessor, the 760mp is 2-way, and something else is n-way?
Further down, on the mysterious disappearing C0 stepping front:
Intel, meanwhile, has posted a note of mystery about the steppings of the
Pentium III on its Developer pages, A reader points out: "There is a curious
note (12) in the list of steppings of the FC-PGA PIII, in the latest Spec
update. It says many of the FC-PGA cC0 Pentium IIIs cannot be used in dual
processor systems. Is Intel just typo happy or have they stepped into it again?
This would be very lame to the people who have been waiting to use these
supposedly improved versions in their systems."
