Sawtek to Use Avnet for Global Distribution of RF SAW Filters

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 2000--Sawtek Inc. (Nasdaq:SAWS - news) today announced that its new line of RF SAW filters will be available to customers worldwide through Avnet's global distribution network. Avnet will offer both PCS and cellular RF SAW filters for GSM, TDMA and CDMA applications. Sawtek will begin shipments of RF SAW filters to Avnet in the fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2000.

Gary A. Monetti, Chief Executive Officer, stated, ``Avnet has been Sawtek's primary worldwide distributor of our standard products for many years.
