Frank,

Thank Ralph Bloch of Raymond James. He came on the Ron Irsana show on CNBC and categorically said the market would probably tank. It really irritates me because I would bet you he is nothing but a short trying to talk the market down. Irsana didn't ask him if he is short the market. If these people are going to prognosticate I believe we have a right to know if they are short or long the stock or the market.

Thank you for a great post to examine. I think your statement reflect the mentality of the buy the dip crowd. All you people want to hear is about how everything is great in tech world...how the Nasdaq is going to 6000, how the buy the dip crowd will be rewarded, and how smart you are and how rich you will be. It really irritates me when analysts maintain buy rating on stocks when they know the are going into the crapper. PCLN and AMZN never got a hold or a sell the whole way down. What about the ratings on LU and DELL. You people get mad when someone says the market is over valued and should go down. What if they are right? Do you ever ask yourself that? What if it's the truth? You can't handle the truth!!!! I think in about five years time you will wish you listened to analysts like Ralph Bloch instead of just tuning your ear to what you wanted to hear. You will be irritated by the analysts that told you to buy well their preferred customers worked out of large positions. You will grow to loath the analysts that gave $1000 targets and hyped stocks. Analysts that helped to create this market bubble and then denied it's existence the hole way down. You ask if he is short the market....I hope so. It would be dumb of him to not hold a position that reflects his beliefs. Do you ever consider the fact that all the analysts that come on CNBC to talk about stocks hold long positions in the stocks. They only will talk about the stocks that they hold. Callers are selected based on the stock they say they have a question about. If they try to question the analyst about a different stock when they are on live, they get cut off and the interviewer asks a question about the selected stock instead. It's all about hype and free advertising. Wake up!
