Vintage Petroleum (VPI) is a "1" for timeliness in Value Line. It is selling at about 8x eps. It is loaded with natural gas and oil reserves. $1.8 billion market cap. Check out the latest 10q for average selling price (MMBTU & per gallon) -- this stock is a safe play if energy prices stay up.
