ZO, that was a great post about ALA legal squad. I am all in favor of ALA protecting its intellectual property just as I am in favor of Nortel protecting its patents and trade secrets against ONIS. If these companies are not allowed to protect their patents and trade secrets, there is a disincentive to R&D. I will be following both cases with great interest. I also think the doctrine of "inevitable disclosure" is gaining acceptance in the courts and may be instrumental in favorable decisions for ALA and NT. It seems somewhat naive to believe that the companies who hire away the employees will not gain access to the trade secrets.
