If the marketplace does not reward you, the govt. does step in to save you (a buisiness owner) from creditors in form of bankruptcy protection. I am sure there are other provisions where govt. tries to help. The reason why govt. is trying to step in, is to eliminate discrimination, bias and other reasons. Now if you argue that there is too much govt. intervention then that will be a valid argument.
