Suit Charges Widespread Legal Conspiracy
Lawyers today filed a class-action lawsuit against yet another new target: class action lawyers.
The lawsuit, filed in federal courts in California, charged that numerous law firms have engaged in a conspiracy to extort settlements by filing frivolous claims against various innocent but unpopular targets. As an example, plaintiffs point to the fact that any sharp decline in a company's stock price is invariably met by so-called shareholder suits alleging fraud. "It stretches the imagination to believe that every sharp drop in stock prices is associated with fraud," commented the plaintiff.
As another example, the lawsuit cited a recent class action against an FDA approved drug that benefits numerous children with disabilities that are protected by federal law.
The lawsuits further charge a widespread conspiracy by trial lawyers to manipulate the political system to protect the nefarious practices cited in the suit.
The conspiracy is also furthered by widespread and ongoing publicity encouraging shareholders and others to join these frivolous suits. Indeed, many investors are seriously inconvenienced by the flood of announcements from these lawyers that daily clog their email and watch lists. This despite the fact that shareholders typically recover only negligible amounts, and the only real winners are the class-action lawyers themselves. "They hand these frivolous lawsuits out like candy, caring not that they clog the public-financed court systems and act as a drain on the whole economy," charged the plaintiffs.
Any individuals who believe they have been harmed by this widespread nefarious activity are encouraged to contact Shyster, Shyster and Shyster. Shyster, Shyster and Shyster has litigated many class actions in federal and state courts over the past 25 years and has obtained court approval of substantial settlements on numerous occasions.
