"What are its innovative properties? Other than Mouse as button? What is the big advantage of Mouse as button"

If you never suffered from RSI (Repetitive Stress Injury) then you may not notice the BIG advantage.

There are days at the office when I have to stop using the computer (an ordinary Wintel box) because my right hand hurts so much from using the mouse (I hardly type, except when posting here!). Sometimes it takes a day of rest to clear.
The Apple mouse, where you can press anywhere (no specific button), allows you to vary the way you click so you are less exposed to RSI (I can't tell just yet if I can avoid RSI entirely under heavy use).

Aesthetically (this matters to me a lot), the Apple mouse beats any other mouse tail down!
A small detail that somebody else already noticed, is that there are no groves to hold dirt. Look at the Microsoft Optical Mouse for instance, the curved groove all around is supposed to give the mouse a nice look, but when the groove is full of the dirt scraped off your own hands, nice it is no more!

As far as the right-click button, I find little problem in pressing the Control key as a modifier on the keyboard with my left hand (I don't use it for anything else while working!). It is now second nature to me, with no RSI issues. The right button increases RSI exposure.

The scroll wheel? Looks nice, but I can't get used to use it for some reason (at the office)... The keyboard modifier option available in IE 5.5 is just as nice a feature (if you want to know which modifier it is, ask me again, I'll check when I get home. It's just something I use without realizing it)

Finally, price-wise, the Apple mouse is compares well to the Microsoft optical mouse. The Logitech optical Mouse at around $30 is the price winner. I bought the Logitech mouse, but I am dumping it for the Apple mouse.
If I could find a way to use the Apple mouse on my office Wintel box, I would!

If only the Apple mouse could come wireless, then that would be perfect!

I do find something to criticize in the new Apple keyboard. It is much too noisy when I type! It sounds as stupid Wintel box keyboard (click click click) It sounds like all those stupid ads when all one can hear is a keyboard typing away.
A keyboard worth bearing the Apple logo should be silent! Silence is Elegance!
If audio feedback is desired, it should come via the speakers under software control. Are you listening Apple? You just had to mess up on one detail, hadn't you? You just couldn't strike a perfect 10, damn!

Cheers all, sorry for my ramblings... but I'm sure some readers understand...
