Pi,

Using your low figure of 465K modems shipped, and assuming there has been no significant price decrease on the sales price of the modem, this would equate to about $82 Million in CPE sales. Your high figure of 550K, would equate to about $97 Million in CPE sales. So, then why would MZ tell Kaufman Bros this week to only expect $65-70 Million in CPE sales. KBROS original forecast for CPE sales was $80 Million. Using your numbers, WSTL could meet that forecast, so why lower the expected number for KBROS??

Could it be that the $12.4 Million quarter from VRTA is because WSTL is building up a inventory reserve for the large growth expected NEXT quarter, and this chips have not made it into units that have shipped yet???

I am just trying to get your opinion as to why MZ would low ball KBROS so much, if your numbers here are correct.

Bruce
