[HDII]
I found HDII by my own research (which, in biotech, usually relates to my molecular/neuroscience training). The discovery process for HDII is consistent with most of my other biotech/device investments: for reasons only Allah can fathom, they're far from the SI spotlight. My returns have matched those of any SI biotech portfolio suggesting that either I'm as brilliant as others here <g> or multiple baggers have come to virtually all biotech investors...even to the (metaphorically speaking) deaf, dumb, and blind among them.
Biotech is currently, in my great humbleness, out in gaga land as far as valuation. Rationalizations for future performance are resembling the internet mania of recent past; I'm avoiding the pure biotech plays until I see a severe AND PROTRACTED correction. I say this with substantial current conviction since another sector I pursue, the semis, is currently crashing, and this sector has tremendous earnings NOW and is fully expected to see significantly higher earning for the next ~3 years. Perhaps I'm inserting logic where it doesn't belong, but there's a tone about the biotech investing community that has a distinct dot-com-ishness about it.
But then those of us with Ph.D.s would never stand for that characterization. This, of course, makes it all the more worrisome. |
