Eva, this thread and another one was ended a couple years ago, when RIM went on the NASDAQ RIMM. Our American friends needed to be included. I turned over the threads to Garry a couple years ago .. got tire of it after over two years+ since IPO then.

Garry has been away helping his uncle for most of the summer.
Current SI thread is :
Subject 28184

There is a good thread on YAHOO for RIMM; and a so-so one on Raging Bull too.

I have not owned RIM for several months (except a couple quick trades)... I missed this last runup .. I don't know if it's consolidating here for another run to $150, or heading back to the low 70's. Both CIC and RIM will not be profitable for about two years; since they are expanding/hiring/ads etc.

I know you are short RIM ... I can't help you. I'm not following RIM as closely as a usually do, lately.
Rim earnings are out Sept 28th after the bell.

CFO said they sold more pagers during summer than they expected to ... at annual meeting. Bell South had been the problem since 1997 ... 1st order of 100,000 pagers took until spring of 2000 to fill. Bell South took delivery of about 25,000 pagers in late May 2000. Bell South is supposed to be taking about 17,000 pagers a month starting this Sept. ... from old conference call last XMAS.
DELL is not working out.
YAHOO should be hot for RIM in several weeks. Europe big soon. Big wireless Meetings ~ Oct 5 ? I think. NY.
They will be producing 5 million devices within 15 months .. about 1 million/year by early 2001. I forgot the current daily rate of production .. have it written down .. ( was talking to CEO and CFO in summer).
