Bernard: What about SBC? They have a plan that requires a presence in most cities of our nation. What better way to achieve that than to buy a BBFW clec with a national footprint and perhaps a fiber clec with the same? They also are the largest ILEC and would presumably suffer less dilution than any of the other ILECs. From an antitrust standpoint, would an ILEC run into problems acquiring BBFW capability within their region? If not, I would think that this would be a capability that they would want to have.

When Ken Hoexter of Merrill says that there is a fair amount of consolidation buzz in the clec space, what are the possibilities he might be hearing about?
