Scumbria, England was actually quite calm about the oil problems. People across the world are in denial about the fact that demand for oil is starting to exceed supply. The media makes it seem there are riots on every corner of Europe; that it started in France and has spread quickly to other parts of Europe as well as England. As for denial, I think that that has been true ever since the SUV came out and sold like they were gold. No one wants to deal with the concept that oil is a finite resource that is being depleted way too quickly. It is kind of weird having all the gas stations closed.
