If you format your hard drive you won't have any data to defrag.

Do you want to get rid of the partitions? Or defrag?

If you want to defrag, depending on your OS, there will be one included. IF you are using NT, there is a free defrag tool out there, I can't remember the name, but its a free download. You will have to search the Internet key words "Defrag NT"
