Speaking of small samples ... Just for fun, I went shopping this p.m. to Best Buy and CompUSA. My mission was to see for myself whether WinME is "flying off the shelves." I am here to report that, while both stores were crowded with customers, and WinME was prominently displayed (in large quantity!), that I didn't see anybody at all buying it or (except for myself) even examining it. Can you say "channel stuffing?" JMHO.
