Yeah I know what you mean. Exactly in fact cos that's where I am. Even so the cap gains and dividends are not completely free. The best deal I've found is to go with the Energy trusts which don't pay dividends they have distributions and they do it monthly, plus with fuel prices going the way they have been if you put the units in an RRSP or RIF both gains and distributions are deferred as far as taxes are concerned The two I picked are AET.UN and ERF.G both of which are paying out almost 2 % per month, so it's quite attractive. Do your own DD of course. Cheers
