Dear Lynn: OT OT
Absolute NOT, all waxes are NOT THE SAME. Most of the elcheapo waxes sold are not waxes at all but POLISHES. Polishes create the shine, the deep down look etc but they supply NO PROTECTION. On a brand new car you can start out right off the bat with a Good Wax product but on a used car you really need to polish it FIRST and then wax it.
Also, many people think that paste waxes are somehow better than liquid. That is a fallacy. They are the same formula and I recommend you just use the liquid as easier to apply.
I am sure there are several top quality polishes and waxes but one of the oldest and most respected companies is Meguaires Wax. I am most familiar with their products and on your new car I recommend GOLD CLASS Liquid Wax. It has the highest reflective quality in their companies history and it will make your car GLISTEN like a diamond. It is second in that companies protective class, if protection is more important to you, then use their MEDALLION product.
If you get right on to waxing your car when it is new you will find it is VERY EASY and frankly, I think its good exercise. JDN
