makes sense on digital checks, Scott

all they need is destination, amount, bank routing number, and your signature

I am curious what happens next with a bounced "check"
... or a "stop payment"
... or even a desire not to resupply with any new checks at all, but rather to carry around your "last blank check"

I have many times made payment over the phone by reciting my bank routing#, but they required a check number... they DID NOT require a signature over the phone... that is where I saw a red flag of danger... I hear that regular payments off your check account is difficult to cancel... for instance I pay for the Sunday Boston Globe via automatic deductions off my checking account... only clear way to discontinue is to close the account... plenty of horror stories have been related to me in failed discontinuation efforts

but most scarey of all is automatic Mastercard payments... except MC enforcer dogs have always been effective in helping me

the new world is taking shape, Scott
gee, when was the last time we heard of CyberCash, Inc ???
