d.alexander, you're welcome for any help so far. <g> depending on how deep you want to go into this, let me share this recent post with you regarding deltree and temp files #reply-14241681 i recommend that you refer to the pcworld mag article that is linked for really good thorough details. i've made the changes on my pc and i'm quite pleased with the maintenance routine and benefits of same. good luck and please keep us posted. we love to hear back, as you know, and if things aren't right yet, perhaps there's more work to be done :) mark
