No, flatsville, you decided to take an analogical point and reduce it to silly terms. Who remembers details like the budget process of state government, doubtless covered in simplistic terms, from middle school, assuming they hadn't changed it in the interim?

I have no idea what the content of the "Government" major was, and therefore have no reason to think it was of use in analyzing broad policy issues. I do know that the propensity of colleges like Harvard to provide a haven to socialists would make me suspicious of the orientation of any graduate of such a program.

The public paid for a new stadium, which is common practice. Bush made the franchise "work", and rise in value. Those are two different things.

Bush does not per se owe the public anything. There is a dispute between the city and the partnership about whether the judgment against the city for under- compensating land taken under eminent domain is recoverable under a contract clause. The position of the partnership is that while the original price might have been recoverable, the penalties are not, because it was the city's fault, and not an ordinary business expense. It will be adjudicated in due course. It is typical of the way that Democrats argue on this thread that the implication is left that Dubya cheated someone.
