PCSTEL, thanks for your post. Irwin Jacobs is someone you apparently admire as I do, yet you don't share his vision of Globalstar. Why do you seem to depart with his judgement on this? Last week, he was seen grinning from ear to ear on the IFN demo....obviously very pleased. Yet this technology he was so pleased with (IFN) can't happen without Globalstar. Last week, he also came on CNN and spoke very favorably about Globalstar.....expects it to be profitable. He did not have to say this.

Does he have a greater vision?

I do believe Irwin Jacobs is a great leader and innovator. This is why HE is the CEO of a great company like Qualcomm. Is he a bad CEO as you suggest of BS because his stock price has tumbled enormously this year? I quote from you:

".....do I suddenly change my views, and start stating that I think BLS is a great CEO.. NO!!! Because the price of GSTRF/LOR share price indicate the opposite.. "

QUALCOMM, with GREAT management has lost 66.5% of its share price since the first of its year from $200 down to $66.5. Are we to say the "share price indicates the opposite" as you suggest? By the way, Globalstar and Qualcomm are down almost the same percentage this year....interesting.

I say Irwin Jacobs is still a great CEO despite your characterization that share price is a reflection of the management. Wall Street just does not understand the future of CDMA and its importance in efficient use of bandwidth. Likewise, Wall Street does not understand Globalstar....just thinks it is another I*. This gives us the unique opportunity to load the boat before Wall Street wakes up. Just ask George Gilder as I have.

Irwin Jacobs has been a part of Globalstar since the beginning. I predict he will support it in the future. I believe Irwin Jacobs, like George Gilder sees tremendous potential and future in the only LEO CDMA global sat phone system in the world that allows seamless telecommunications. It uses his CDMA technology and gives him a global presence.

I bet if you talked to Jacobs now he would tell you that IFN will be big. Globalstar is the lynchpin that makes it superior to Connexion and Tenzing. I bet he would tell you that ARCOM and many other companies are ordering the Globalstar Packet Data modems by the thousands already (as we have heard) and they are going to be backlogged for such uses as SCADA and Oil company monitoring. He would tell you of aggressive work being done by Qualcomm to ready the military CONDOR encrypted phones for use with Globalstar.

It is interesting that his view of the importance of Globalstar is most likely different than yours. I know Gregg Powers knows him personally and can bet you he discussed Globalstar with him before making his 10% stake in GSTRF.

Whose vision should we bet on Jacob's or PCSTEL's?
