Well Michael & Cash, Thank you for helping me to make a more informed decision, and welcome the newest omega user to the thread... (just took out the high bid on e-bay for tradestation 2000i for $862). That price I can stomach a little better than $2500. It also realized that If I spent the 299 on the developers kit for MetaStock, that I would have spent 669 total on that software, when 200 more could have me in the drivers seat of TradeStation, without having to do a ton of work in c++ which I would rather not do. If for some reason, TS is not what I hoped (which at this point, I seriously doubt), It looks like I can easily get my money back on e-bay. Checking past auctions for the software reveals that it is sold there frequently in the 8-900 range as Cash mentioned. I probably bought at a slightly higher end of that range at 862.

I hope you don't mind me asking you guy's for a few questions now and again as I get up to speed.
