THCG Announces Expansion of Its US-based Operations -- New Worldwide Headquarters Scheduled To Be Operational By October 1, 2000
================================================================
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 2000--THCG, Inc.
(NASDAQ/NM:THCG), a leading architect and builder of global Internet
and technology enterprises, today announced that in order to
accommodate its significant growth, the Company has commenced
relocating and combining its two New York offices: the corporate
headquarters, formerly located at 650 Madison Avenue, and its venture
development offices, currently located at 105 Madison Avenue. The new
approximately 28,000 sq. ft. THCG, Inc. World Headquarters facility
will be located at 512 Seventh Avenue and will be fully operational on
October 1, 2000.
In light of THCG's global growth initiatives, the new World
Headquarters provides resources for even greater expansion of THCG's
V3 service offerings. These resources include new operational space
for partner companies in the development phase. Now these start-ups
will have on site access to the highest quality support and guidance
from the THCG V3 staff, a service that was not previously available.
Moreover, management feels that the consolidation of its US-based
operations into one facility will promote more streamlined and
efficient operations as well as enhanced internal communications.
"Capacity issues have been obstacles in our path to achieving more
rapid growth until now. After having spent countless hours with
architects and consultants on the corporate relocation project to
design our facility with functionality and productivity in mind, I
believe we have achieved efficiencies and added resources that will
enable us to truly work in `e-time,' as the THCG motto suggests,"
stated Evan Marks, Chief Operating Officer. "This will be the first
time that our corporate officers, venture development managers and
investment bankers will be together under one roof. In addition, we
will have space for several of our partner companies to establish an
initial New York City presence within our facility."
