New Era Al chimes in:

<<WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said on Monday there was no sign that the explosion of innovation that has transformed the financial industry in recent years was coming to a close.

``The acceleration in the growth of technology that has so greatly affected our economy in general has also profoundly expanded the scope and utility of financial products over, say, the past fifteen years,'' Greenspan told the American Bankers Association in a speech.

His remarks did not address the outlook for the U.S. economy or interest rates.>>

It's a shame that the "acceleration in the growth of technology" has not affected the Fed's comprehension of things like, say, moral hazard. Any bets on the size of this morning's coupon pass?
