What's magical about December? October and November crude are both hitting contract highs. Besides, in terms of impact on the economy, crude doesn't matter. The only consumers of crude are refineries, and they have all they need. No, the problem is in the distillates, which are supply constrained due to the steady infrastructure erosion (ie, fewer refineries). Since demand has never been higher, their prices will continue up....
