I guess you are saying that the slowdown in Microsoft Windows is a bigger phenomenon than the rapid growth of other software. Dollarwise, that's surely correct. But from the point of view of an investor, MSFT is just one of a number of stocks and after the attack by the government and their inept and in my view partly dishonest defense, MSFT tends to dim in the investors' scene, no matter how vast is the company. It's a bit like seeing one company, compaq, fall on its face in the PC area. That happened some time ago but the general PC business continued to grow.
